Robert Judd, a.k.a. Rabbi Bob, received his rabbinic ordination and a Master’s Degree in Rabbinics from the Zeigler School of Rabbinic Studies in Los Angeles in 2001. Before coming to Kol Ami in July 2009, Rabbi Bob served congregations in New York and South Carolina.

Rabbi Bob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature (minor: German) from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. He also holds a Master’s Degree in English from the State University of New York—Binghamton. From 1991-97, Rabbi Bob pursued a doctorate in English and American Literature at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma. He has completed his coursework, his comprehensive exams, and is hard at work on “his long paper.”

Rabbi Bob follows the Yankees and Steelers rabidly. He enjoys working out at the gym, reading, riding his bike, and cooking. When not at Kol Ami or pursuing one of his hobbies, he can be found walking his four dogs, J.D., K.C., Beast and Vinter around Carrollwood Village.
Cantor Beth - 1 OUR HAZZAN

Cantor Beth Schlossberg received her investiture as a cantor in 2008 from The Jewish Theological Seminary, where she earned her Masters Degree in Sacred Music, and also  has a Bachelor of Music degree in Musical Performance from the University of Michigan. She has been the cantor at Beth El Synagogue in Omaha, Nebraska, and has 14 years experience preparing B’nai Mitzvah students to lead services, chant Torah and Haftorah, as well as seven years of teaching private piano and voice lessons to students of all ages from pre-school to adult. She recently celebrating her wedding anniversary in March to her husband, Michael Frudiker, and if you time a visit just right to the Kol Ami office, you might get to meet another member of her family, Juliet, her rescued dog.

Karen Kosowski graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and lived in New York for several years before moving to Florida and beginning her eighteen year career as a Jewish Educator. After starting in the field at a JCC preschool, she served as the Education & Youth Director in synagogues in Palm Beach, Florida, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Durham, North Carolina. She joined Kol Ami in 2014. Although she has lived and worked in various cities, Karen has always considered Florida her home, and is thrilled to be getting to know Tampa, the west coast, and the Kol Ami community.


Mitch WeissOriginally from Edison, NJ, Mitchell Weiss joins Congregation Kol Ami as Executive Director. With several graduate degrees and over 35 years in corporate finance, Mitchell has a wealth of knowledge in a myriad of areas: accounting and finance, business and facility management, human resources as well as valuable non-profit experience. Mitchell is looking forward to bringing his new, innovative and inventive approach to the organization. When Mitchell is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife Andrea, his children (Sarah, Stacy, Erica, Lindsey, and Joshua), and his first grandson, Benjamin.
