Youth groups are the connection that many children need to stay close to their Jewish heritage.  Our programs — KAUSY (Grades 9-12), Kadima (Grades 6-8), and Boneem (Grades 3-5) — are dedicated to offering quality programs that are social, cultural, and educational in nature.  We are pleased to have excellent advisors supervising the programs.

KAUSY: Kol Ami United Synagogue Youth (USY), our senior youth organization, is dedicated to inspiring Jewish teens to explore, celebrate, and practice ethical values, Jewish living, Zionism, and community responsibility.  USY’s programming is based on the goals of United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism (USCJ).

KADIMA:  Kadima is our junior youth organization for Jewish pre-teens.  Also associated with USCJ, Kadima activities include games, sports, arts & crafts, conventions, holiday celebrations, cultural activities, social action projects, and tzedakah programs.

BONEEM:  We also have a primary-age youth group for children in grades 3-5.  This is an opportunity for Kol Ami members who are part of our religious school or who are attending Hillel School of Tampa to socialize together.

Once again, in 2013, Kol Ami Youth will be selling Mahjong cards. Prices for this coming year’s card are as follows:

Standard Card $7.00
Large Card $8.00

The price of each card includes $1.50 to help support Kol Ami Youth.

Please remind your groups to buy their cards through Kol Ami.  Contact Amanda Moonitz to make a purchase or for more details. Checks should be made payable to “Kol Ami Youth” and may be dropped off in the Kol Ami office.

FYI, If you have ordered from us in the past, we have your membership number on file.

Thank you for your support.  In 2012, Mahjong cards purchased through Kol Ami raised $232 for our youth.

Sweet-tin your holiday season by feeding the hungry.  Sponsor a tin of pineapple donated by Edible Arrangements. Your kind donations will go towards tins that will be filled with sweet pineapple and brought to various charities, including Hope Children’s Home, Metropolitan Ministries, and the Salvation Army.  A $5.00 donation is recommended.  Supported by KAUSY, KADIMA and BONEEM Youth Programs at Congregation Kol Ami.  For additional information, contact Tammy Bobo.
