Whether you are looking for familiar melodies or wanting to learn something new, Congregation Kol Ami services offer a spiritually uplifting experience for all ages.
Beautiful and meaningful melodies are the foundations of Kol Ami’s musical tradition. Our liturgy is drawn from the rich diversity of songs, Psalms, and religious texts in the Jewish tradition.
There are many different threads that make up the tapestry of our congregation’s services. At any given time, you will hear a variety of musical expressions: from traditional nusach to Hasidic niggunim (melodies); from the well-known music of Shlomo Carlebach, Debbie Friedman, and Craig Taubman, to the occasional camp tune. There is something familiar and something new to be found in our musical repertoire. Of course, congregational participation is always encouraged.
One Shabbat evening a month, we offer our “Family Shabbat” service. Acoustic guitars, egg shakers, and hand drums, along with spirited singing, help to make these services exciting and fun for the whole family.
