As sure as I am of the pollen covering my car, Spring has arrived! Spring is a time for renewal and reinvigoration. It’s when the earth tilts on its axis toward the sun, and daylight becomes more plentiful. It’s a season of hope, growth, and transformation and for us, Pesach, which is just around the corner.

As we celebrate Passover, let’s remember its message of hope and freedom that has inspired us for generations. Passover is a time to reflect on freedom, resilience, and the enduring power of community. As families gather around the seder table, they honor ancient traditions and celebrate the story of liberation that continues to inspire us. This year, Kol Ami is playing matchmaker, teaming up seder hosts with guests looking for a place to share the holiday. Don’t forget to sign up for your Passover Mazelgrams; the deadline is April 15th.

Hopefully, you were able to attend our Scholar in Residence Shabbaton this year. Thank you to our Adult Education Committee and especially Cindy Schiff for securing Rabbi Avi Strausberg, the Senior Director of National Learning Initiatives at Hadar, to teach us about faith, uncertainty, and even playing hide-and-seek with God. She seamlessly blended Hebrew passages and translations with poetry, stories, and discussion that made for an educational weekend. Many of us shared in this experience, and we look forward to more learning in the future. Thank you to all our sponsors who championed the SIR weekend with your presence and financial support.

B'Shalom
Kevin
