Shalom!
It has been an eventful summer so far. I would like to thank everyone who helped lead services, and read Torah and Haftarah while Rabbi Blatt was at camp! It is wonderful to see that we have the bench strength to step up when needed. In August, we start up our programming here at Kol Ami. You should check out our Weekly Watch, text messages, and the KolAmi.org website for information on all that is starting back up.
Our Religious School staff are finalizing the finishing touches for our Kol Yeladim students who start back learning on August 18th. This is also the date of our 1990’s-themed Annual Kol Ami Kick-Off. Come out and meet the Kol Ami family! We’ll have food, drinks, desserts, a bounce house, face painting, arts and crafts. You can come to find out about all the committees Kol Ami has to offer and find out how your interests match up with Kol Ami activities.
Brotherhood and Sisterhood both have special events planned, including the Sisterhood Mah Jongg Tournament on Aug. 11th at 9:15 am and the Brotherhood Welcome Back Breakfast with speaker David Bernstein on Aug. 25th at 10 am at Kol Ami. Kol Ami also looks forward to rooting for the Tampa Bay Rays against the Baltimore Orioles on Jewish Heritage Day at Tropicana Field on Sunday, Aug. 11th at 1:40 pm.
I am assured that our brightest days are in front of us! I look forward to seeing each of you at synagogue and at Kick-Off! I’m always available to communicate via email, text, or come see me at services.
