Torah Fund is an essential part of Sisterhood. And Sisterhood is an integral part of Women’s League. As a member of Sisterhood, you have an opportunity to be a link in the worldwide network of women engaged in Jewish life and committed to enhancing your Jewish knowledge, expanding your involvement in our community, and supporting the entire Jewish people.
One way to do this is to become a Torah Fund sponsor. Donations to Torah Fund enable the five Conservative/Masorti institutes of higher education to provide programs, scholarships and services to their students -- our future Conservative/Masorti leaders. We support: The Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in Los Angeles, Schechter Institutes of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, Seminario Rabinico Latinoamericano in Buenos Aires, and Zacharias Frankel College in Potsdam. Beyond helping fund these five global Conservative/Masorti institutes of higher education, Torah Fund is there to thank the rabbis, cantors, educators, professors, camp staff, social workers, and graduates of our schools, who are doing the maximum to provide creative services, programming, guidance, consolation, learning, and support during these challenging times. Torah Fund plays a decisive role in helping to ensure the continuity of Conservative/Masorti Jewish education and the traditions and perpetuity of the Jewish people.
The costs of quality education continue to rise. In addition to showing support of the Torah Fund mission -- to provide funding to educate our future Jewish leaders -- your annual donation will help maintain excellence and resources at the five global Conservative/Masorti institutes of higher education. And your steadfast commitment to Torah Fund inspires others to give and demonstrates your devotion to the future of the Jewish people.
You can become a sponsor of Torah Fund for a contribution of $180 and receive one of the famous Torah Fund pins. Higher donations are also available.
Our Annual Torah Fund Brunch, organized by Terri Hinds, our Vice President of Torah Fund, will take place this year on Sunday, June 2nd. All members of Sisterhood are encouraged to attend. This brunch will celebrate the installation of officers and chairwomen of Sisterhood’s Board for 2024-2025. I hope to see you all there. You can RSVP for the brunch HERE.
B’Shalom,
Sharon Cross Sisterhood President
