Shalom, Kol Ami!
Happy Secular New Year from my family to yours! As we welcome 2025, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible memories we made together in 2024 and look forward to an even busier and more meaningful year ahead. I’m so grateful for our Kol Yeladim families who continuously bring warmth, energy, and joy to everything we do.
December may have been a short month for Religious School, but it was packed with Chanukah fun! Thank you to everyone who helped make our “Maccabee Games” Chanukah Celebration on December 29th such a success. It was wonderful to see so many kids of all ages—from future Kol Yeladim students to many of our alumni—join us for games, activities, and community connection. Special thanks to Max and Nosh Catering for the amazing food and to the incredible volunteers who made the event possible: Lauren Dunayer, Jillian Dunayer, Jody Sampson Nair, and Michael West for their tireless efforts, and of course, Shaina Shuford, our School Board Chair and party-planner extraordinaire, who ensured everything ran smoothly and beautifully. My deepest gratitude also goes to Mitch Weiss and Rabbi Blatt for their unwavering support in helping to bring our vision to life.
If you’d like to help plan future programs and events, we would love to have you! Please reach out to me or Shaina Shuford to get involved.

Planning Ahead for Purim
Our Purim Carnival is scheduled for Sunday, March 9th, and planning starts this month. If you’d like to volunteer, please let me know—the more hands, the more fun! We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be organizing a Purim shpiel for the Megillah reading. If you’re interested in participating, keep an eye out for rehearsal dates and details. Purim is one of my favorite holidays, and I’m eager to make it a celebration to remember!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and fulfilling New Year. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together in 2025.
B’shalom,
