I was introduced this month to a new challenge that people are taking on this year - No Whining January. Try to get through all of the first month of the year without whining. The idea being that when you are presented with something that would generally bother you, a time when you would complain about your situation, that in that moment you should look for something positive about it instead of whining. Brotherhood’s Annual Man of the Year celebration is coming up on Saturday night, February 15! This year is quite special, as we are honoring Kol Ami’s outgoing Executive Director, Mitch Weiss.

I am excited to announce that Kol Ami has hired Ross Ruffkess as our full-time Administrative Assistant. Ross has been helping in the Front Office on an intermediate basis for the past six months, and he has performed beyond our expectations. Please welcome Ross the next time you stop by the synagogue.
