Brotherhood’s Annual Man of the Year celebration is coming up on Saturday night, February 15!  This year is quite special, as we are honoring Kol Ami’s outgoing Executive Director, Mitch Weiss. 

I don’t need to remind everyone of the tremendous impact Mitch has had, not only on the synagogue and how it runs, but on us, the congregants.  He’s been a leader, a friend, a mentor, and a confidant to many of us.  It’s quite fitting he is our Man of the Year, and I hope all can attend the event on Saturday night, February 15 to honor Mitch. As an added bonus, our great friend Nachum Peterseil will be flying in from California to perform for us! It will be a stellar evening!

As someone who has known Mitch since before he started working here (he used to be the Executive Director at my parents’ shul in Sarasota), I am proud to call him my friend, and I am glad we can bestow this well-deserved honor upon him.
